About Us
Hi. Manna here. So far this is my "baby" brought about by the increasing need that I see around me. When someone becomes homeless there is an instant stigma attached to the situation. This interferes with a person's ability to reach out and get aid for their unique situation. If you find yourself in this group of people please immediatelly call together a support network that will help you weather your, hopefully temporary, situation. There are many helps available today. Reach out.
I have been living out of a vehicle off and on since I was 19 years of age. Myfirst car was a Ford Galaxy. I LOVED it. It was dented. The speedometer didn't work. I had to climb in and out of the driver window to get in it. But it was extrememly roomy. I could sleep in the back seat with out having to curl up. I was living with two kittens and they hadlots of room to chase each other around in the car. The trunk space was generous. It was a great summer. Then I got an appartment. Typically I wasn't living out of a vehicle for long.
These last five years I have had the hardest times ever getting back out of a vehicle. This last stint has been going on three years now. I just turned 65 and would rather be in a sticks and bricks dwelling. I am on waiting lists. And still waiting.
So when I put this site together it is with way too much first hand experience with which I do so. I hope it helps myself as well as the hundreds, nay, thousands that have joined me in this adventure.
